Anglicare Tasmania is a not-for profit organisation that delivers a wide range of community and support services to the people of Tasmania.

Most people in Australia have some experience with anxiety and depression, whether it is personal or via family, friends or work colleagues. In any one year, around 1 million people in Australia experience depression, and over 2 million experience anxiety.

beyondblue is an independent, not-for-profit organisation working to increase awareness and understanding of anxiety and depression in Australia and to reduce the associated stigma. beyondblue works across a range of settings and brings together expertise in order to provide information and programs to support those affected by anxiety and depression, and improve the mental health of every person in Australia.

You can visit the website to find information about depression, anxiety and suicide, available treatments, recovery and staying well. There are also personal stories and an online forum for people to share their experiences and offer encouragement and hope to others.

Our staff are experienced psychologists, educators and policy experts who are well-equipped to create positive childhood experiences through our award-winning community education programs, national case review platform, training workshops and child safe organisation solutions.

Established in 1854, Launceston City Mission (City Mission) is Australia's second oldest 'Mission'. City Mission has been providing care and assistance to people experiencing hardship and disadvantage in our local community for 170 years. Engender Equality is a State-wide non-profit organisation that provides free and confidential counselling and support for women who are currently experiencing or have experienced family violence or abuse

The Family Relationship Advice Line is a national telephone service that helps families affected by relationship or separation issues, including information on parenting arrangements after separation. It can also refer callers to local services that provide assistance.

The Courts’ case management pathway aims to ensure that 90 per cent of family law cases are resolved within 12 months of filing.

Matters follow a nationally consistent case management pathway.

The first court event takes place within six to eight weeks of filing. Where it is safe to do so, parties will be required to undertake mediation or other dispute resolution within six months of filing, with the aim of resolving their dispute earlier in time and reducing the financial and emotional stress of litigation.

If the parties are still unable to settle, they will be sent to trial which is to commence, where possible, within 12 months.

Kids Helpline counsellors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Nothing is too big or too small to call us about. Children can chose to speak to a male or female counsellor and request to speak with the same counsellor if they decide to use the service more than once.

The fastest way to contact Kids Helpline is by calling on 1800 55 1800. Calls from mobile phones, landlines and payphones are free if you are calling from within Australia.

We also offer web and email counselling. These services can be accessed through our website, 7 days a week.

The Law Society of Tasmania has two major functions. The first is that of regulator of the legal profession of the State of Tasmania. The second is to provide services to its members to assist in maintaining high standards of practice in the Tasmanian legal profession.

Parents Beyond Breakup (PBB) is an Australian Suicide Prevention Charity

Our focus is on supporting separating mums, dads and grandparents. In terms of numbers, this group is amongst Australia's most at risk (of suicide) demographic. Our support operates remotely by phone and online, and in-person within communities across Australia through frontline programs Dads in Distress (DIDs), Mums in Distress (MIDs) and Grandparents in Distress (GIDs). All support is free, confidential, peer based and non judgemental. PBB is one of Australia's most cost and impact effective suicide prevention services - bang for buck, PBB provides a leading option for charitable donation. Peer support. Give Some. Get Some.

We provide legal information and advice, representation, minor assistance, mediation and legal education to all Tasmanians.

Funded by the Attorney General’s Department, the Family Law Pathways Network aims to support professionals in working collaboratively, maintaining strong working relationships, and developing appropriate referral mechanisms across the broader family law system.

The Tasmanian Family Law Pathways Network is a statewide organisation serving both Greater Hobart and Launceston, as well as Northern Tasmania.
